The Other Major Heroes In Crisis #1 Death Confirmed? Really?
Heroes In Crisis, the comic book series by Tom King and Clay Mann (and now Lee Weeks and Mitch Gerads) has promised deaths. Big deaths and small deaths., And encouraged people to speculate to guess, even to bet on which characters will meet their makers.
There have also been plenty of leaks along the way. Bleeding Cool ran one confirmed minor death, then another major one. But there have been a number of other smaller folk who also die.
There has also been speculation that one of the major deaths would be Poison Ivy with plenty of compelling evidence. And while we're not saying she won't die, apparently that doesn't happen in issue 1. Indeed she doesn't appear – that presumably is being saved for later issues.
However, I am now being told that someone who does die… and it is a surprise considering other rumours and leaks….
…yeah, we're going to need one of those…
…maybe another for good luck…
Because as well as Roy Harper, Hot Spot, Blue Jay, Lagoon Boy and Citizen Steel is … Wally West. The Flash, recently brought back to continuity and numbered among the dead of Heroes In Crisis.
Intriguingly, despite initial reports, this doesn't seem at the hands of a gunman. No bullets mentioned.
But hey, you can't have a Crisis without a dead Flash, right? But man, but on the nose, right? Especially after being revived so recently? How long could such a thing be expected to last?
Heroes In Crisis #1 is published this week. Let's see what – if anything – is true.

There's a new kind of crisis threatening the heroes of the DC Universe, ripped from real-world headlines by C.I.A.-operative-turned-comics-writer Tom King: How does a superhero handle PTSD? Welcome to Sanctuary, an ultra-secret hospital for superheroes who've been
traumatized by crime-fighting and cosmic combat. But something goes inexplicably wrong when many patients wind up dead, with two well-known operators as the prime suspects:
Harley Quinn and Booster Gold! It's up to the DC Trinity of Superman, Wonder Woman and
Batman to investigate-but can they get the job done in the face of overwhelming opposition? In Shops: Sep 26, 2018
