The Walking Dead And AVX Heat Up The Market

Right now, and I mean right now, in a metropolitan area, someone should set up a Walking Dead shop. Selling Walking Dead comics, trade paperbacks, DVDs and ephemera. Maybe also sell the likes of Crossed, 28 Days Later, True Blood and the like, but the main focus, and title of the store should be The Walking Dead.

You will make money.

It's not so much a domination of the reorder list with Walking Dead trades and hardcovers, with 21 out of the 25 spots, as it is a massacre.

In the advance reorder list for the last week of March, it's a different story, with retailers rushing to up their orders of Batman Earth One ahead of its release. This chart gives the most accurate account of books that retailers suddenly don't believe they have enough coming through, and as a result is also a likely indicator of which books will go to second printing soonest.  AVX Versus #1  and #2 getting a bigger push as a result of the main AVX series doing so well, with crossover books such as New Avengers, Secret Avengers and Uncanny X-Men joining it. Diamond missing off the listing of Hit Girl has seen retailers rush to add that back onto their order list as well.

The Batman Night Of The Owls crossover seems to be picking up heat in store, and Daredevil advance reorders get a bump to match them up against the other Omega Effect crossover titles.

And the sales of Supercrooks #1 seem to have persuaded retailers to bump up their orders of issue 2 as well.
