Will We Have A Kingpin Comic From Marvel?

There has been a spate of bad-guy comics of late. Empire Uprising, Superior Spider-Man, Darth Vader, Osborn, Sinestro, Catwoman, – though their badness may be ameliorated along the way.

Well, with the new Daredevil Netflix series on the way, and Vincent D'Onofrio cast Kingpin, it looks like Marvel may be putting out a title with that name sooner rather than later.

Marvel have registered the name Kingpin as a trademark application for "Comic books; printed periodicals in the field of comic book stories and artwork". As always with these things, you us it or you lose it. Marvel have also registered Groot, getting a series out of Secret Wars.

There are also, as previously reported, comic book trademark registrations for Beast, Werewolf By Night and Omega The Unknown…
