The Wrong Earth, by Tom Peyer and Jamal Igle, From Ahoy Comics in August
Comic book creator Jamal Igle announced on Facebook the news of a new superhero comic book he was working on, from a new publisher, out in August.
THE WRONG EARTH
Written by Tom Peyer, Pencils by me, Inks by Juan Castro, colored by Andy Troy and lettered by Todd Klein.
August 2018.
It looks like it will have a multidimensional element, switching from a grim'n'gritty world to a light'n'brighty world?
Tom Peyer is a longstanding comic book writer and artist. He is probably best known for his 1999 revisioning of Golden Age super-hero Hourman, as well as his work on the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 1990s. An editor at DC Comics/Vertigo from 1987 to 1993, he worked on Neil Gaiman's Sandman and Grant Morrison and Richard Case's Doom Patrol and Peter Milligan/Chris Bachalo's Shade The Changing Man. Peyer has also worked for Marvel Comics, Wildstorm, and Bongo Comics and was part of the Hive creators, alongside Mark Waid, Grant Morrison and Mark Millar. With John Layman, he wrote the 2007–2009 Tek Jansen comic book, based on the Stephen Colbert character.
Jamal Igle is the creator of the comic book series Molly Danger and is also known for his pencilling, inking and colouring work on books such as Supergirl, Nightwing, Firestorm and The Ray, New Warriors with Jay Faerber, as well as the Army of Angels graphic novel for Humanoids Publishing. He was also a storyboard artist series such as Max Steel and Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles. Other comics he has worked in his long career include Green Lantern, G.I. Joe, Martian Manhunter, Iron Fist/Wolverine and Venture.
While new publisher, Ahoy Comics are, it seems, to be launched in June which should be handy for San Diego Comic-Con in July, if they were to choose to make an appearance on the show floor there.
