Acting Like a Real Lumiere in Candleman: The Complete Journey
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be Lumiere from Beauty & The Beast? Zodiac Interactive brought their own version of that experience to PAX East as we got to try out Candleman: The Complete Journey. The game was actually quite fun to play as you are a living candle making your way through expansive levels in an attempt to light up other small candles along the way. Of course, pretty much everything you're walking on or around is not inviting to the survival of your flame, so you have to be on your toes and super careful about where you jump and how you stand on certain objects.
The game was really interesting to navigate as the light you hold only has a certain amount of life to it, which you are basically giving away to the other candles you are lighting up. So as you make your way through a level, you're basically slowly letting yourself die out. This was a very simplistic game to latch onto and a lot of fun to play. You can actually download the game right now on Steam for $15 if you care to see a title do wonders both visually and mechanically with very little.
