Simplicity Esports Opens A New Retail Location In Ohio
An interesting tidbit from Simplicity Esports this week as they have opened a new retails store in one of America's biggest malls. The location is at the SouthPark Mall in Strongsville, Ohio. The space itself is a 2,561 square foot location, which has 36 gaming stations made up of both PC and consoles. And, of course, because it's owned by the team, it includes a bunch of their merchandise and accessories. Here's a quiote from this morning's press release.
Roman Franklin, President of Simplicity Esports, stated, "I am excited to announce our first store opening in the suburban Cleveland area. The SouthPark Mall location, which is in close proximity to several major metropolitan cities, will provide gamers from surrounding states, a convenient opportunity to participate in our in-person national esports tournaments."
It's cool to see the space open, but what they do with it moving forward is going to be interesting. Will they hold tournaments there? Will there be live demos and practice runs? And will the team have enough brand recognition to make it a must-visit spot? Those questions will eventually be answered in time, but for now, best of luck to them on it.
