8 New Character Posters For Netflix's Lift Are Released

Lift, the new heist film from F. Gary Gray, will release on Netflix and we have eight new character posters showing off the impressive cast.

Article Summary

  • Netflix's Lift drops eight vibrant character posters, teasing a high-altitude heist.
  • F. Gary Gray helms the action-packed, star-studded Lift, flying into Netflix soon.
  • The film's outcome is up in the air, with early reactions for Lift showing turbulence.
  • Heist film Lift, boasting big names like Kevin Hart, sets its Netflix release for Jan 12.

Lift is looking to kick off the 2024 Netflix film slate with a heist, a stacked cast, and some good old-fashioned team dynamics. Whenever a film like this has a stacked cast like this, you know there will also be a small pile of character posters to accompany it, and that's what we have from IMP Awards. The eight posters feature the film's logline: "The heist begins at 40,000 ft."

Trying to predict whether or not a Netflix movie will end up good or not is like trying to predict the weather. You can see all of the elements coming together, and maybe you can get a general idea of what this might be, but until it all happens, who knows whether that downpour will come or not. Lift has all of the elements of a movie that should work, and heist films are usually a lot of fun, not to mention Gray has directed some kick-ass movies before; your guess is as good as mine. However, the early reactions do not look positive, which is a shame. Netflix films are becoming extremely polarizing in that they are usually amazing or really bad, and it's always unfortunate when something has all of the pieces of a film that should work and can't pull it together. We'll have to see when the film comes out tomorrow.
