Finding The Space Between Crazy And Uptight – Behind The Scenes Of Lethal Weapon
I'll admit that when I saw Lethal Weapon on the list of new shows for the fall, I was apprehensive. It is rare for a successful movie to then be turned into a series and have it work. I can think of only a few times like M.A.S.H. and Highlander. And with something that was so driven by the stars in it like Lethal Weapon, I had even more doubts. How do you replace Mel Gibson and Danny Glover? The casting of Damon Wayans was a good start, but I had never heard of Clayne Crawford… but the trailers looked interesting and after it was on a few weeks and the buzz was decent, I binged watched the first half-dozen episodes.
I like it.
Push the memory of the films out of your mind and watch the show as something new and it's a lot of fun. Not only the interaction between Wayans and Crawford, but the whole cast. All of them get good moments to shine. The show is worth giving a shot. I'm not recording it, but I am watching it on demand in chunks.
Below are two of their Lethal Access segments where Johnathan Fernandez who plays Coroner Scorsese interviews Jordana Brewester who plays Maureen Cahill and Kevin Rahm who plays Captain Brooks Avery. The fun from the series even carries over into these videos.
