New TV Spot For 'The Dark Tower' Highlights Easter Eggs Plus 2 New Posters

The concept of the shared universe is something that comic book fans are no stranger to, but book fans have been digging through shared universes for a long time too. Legendary writer Stephen King has never been shy about hinting that his books all exist within the same shared universe. The movie adaptation seems to be no different, and this new TV spot released by Sony Pictures appears to highlight some of those Easter Eggs we can see in this movie.

Over on social media it was time for the stars Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba to keep up their smack talk on twitter. This time the back and forth came with two amazing looking posters.

It's kind of a shame that Sony isn't marketing this movie better because the cast is spot on. We know the official run time for The Dark Tower is going to be only 95 minutes and as the release date creeps closer and closer fans are getting antsy. Will this adaptation be any good? Everyone seems more than a little worried about it at this point.

Summary: The Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, roams an Old West-like landscape where "the world has moved on" in pursuit of the man in black. Also searching for the fabled Dark Tower, in the hopes that reaching it will preserve his dying world.

The Dark Tower, directed by Nikolaj Arcel, stars Idris Elba, Katheryn Winnick, Matthew McConaughey, Jackie Earl Haley, and Tom Taylor. It will be released on August 4th.
