Rick And Morty Season 3 Episode 6 Review: Toxin Toxic Toxicity

Rick and Morty season 3 episode 6, takes a look at what happens when the bad parts of Rick and Morty go on a walkabout.

Creators: Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland
Summary: An animated series that follows the exploits of a super-scientist and his not-so-bright grandson.

There was a moment in this episode where the entire room was laughing so hard we missed a joke and had to go back and re-watch it. Which made us laugh even harder. After last week's episode was somewhat lackluster we return to high marks for the Rick and Morty series. This is another one that is on par with the Pickle Rick episode in terms of what we learn about the characters and the jokes that come from those situations.

After an adventure leaves Rick and Morty so frazzled they decide they need a vacation. While on that vacation they go through a spa that takes the toxic parts out of you. In this case it meant literally as all the bad parts of Rick and Morty are now separated and trapped. If we thought Rick was bad then this Rick is even worse.

Rick And Morty Season 3 Episode 6

There are a few twists and turns along the way that made the episode great, but the idea of the duel personalities lets us see what healthy versions of our two favorite characters would look like. Morty has a subplot about Jessica that looks like it could have some long term repercussions for his character that is going to be really interesting to see play out. As for Rick, we learn a few really interesting things about him like his age (he's 70) and what he considers weakness within himself. The whole thing is kept together by a fantastic gag involving the entire world and dark impulses that needs to be seen to be believed.

Rick and Morty season 3 episode 6, is another high mark for this season. There are great character beats and so many jokes that you'll have to watch the episode more than once to catch them all. We haven't seen Phoenix Person and Tammy come into play yet but that seems like a season finale type of situation.
