Rumour Suggests An Original Replicant Will Appear In Blade Runner 2049 Via CGI

Hollywood sure is having a fun time with younger CGI versions of older or deceased actors at the moment. From Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator Genisys, Robert Downey Jnr in Captain America: Civil War and Peter Cushing in Rogue One, it seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment.

If this new rumour is to believed, we can expect a similar recreation in Blade Runner 2049. TheTerminatorFans are reporting that a source close to them claims CGI is be being used in the film to bring back one of the replicants from the original movie. They don't specify which it will be, but obviously, all the actors have aged since their turns in the first film thus meaning they would have to be 'youngified'. They also note this will be more than just a split-second cameo, with "at least 10 shots" being used to reprise the character.

This is far from confirmed, but this is totally happening with more frequency. Also, there are hundreds of ways one of the older replicants could be weaved into a story here. We will keep you updated on this one.
