Splash Mountain In Disney World To Undergo Second Refurbishment

Disney World fans, I got some bad news. Splash Mountain, the iconic Disney ride located in Magic Kingdom, will be closing again in early 2018 for refurbishments. The ride is currently closed until November 16th for upgrades, but it will close again January 8th through February 1st, 2018.

Disney is likely splitting up the work so the impending holiday crowds can enjoy the ride. Splash Mountain has been closed since August 28th of this year, which is a pretty long time for one of their most popular rides. I've been on Splash Mountain a number of times, and while I've never had an issue with the ride breaking down, I'm perfectly alright with Disney refurbishing their rides. I can't wait to see it after it opens again next year!
