Kings Dominion's 'Deadly Class' Take a Long Look at The "Mirror People" [PREVIEW]
SYFY's Deadly Class is still going strong, and is already one of our favorite shows on television. If you're a fan of clever dialogue, underdog stories, and teenage assassins, this is your show!
The last episode, "Snake Pit," closed with one of the Kings Dominion students receiving a stack of hundreds with a picture of Saya (Lana Condor) attached. We're pretty sure that a hit has been initiated against the Yakuza princess- or someone wants to get a bunch of money to her- but the latest trailer hints at the prior:
Let's break that down a little! We've had the detention angle thrown at us a few times, the first being when Master Lin (Benedict Wong) poisoned the students and made them fight a bunch of robed assassins to get to the antidote. Are the big dudes in masks from one of those tests, or are they Yakuza assassins coming after Saya?
That overhead shot of Petra (Taylor Hickson) and Viktor (Sean Depner) laying side by side better not be a death scene! Petra is such a great character, and she hasn't had enough time to shine yet! Viktor can burn in hell, though. That's not a slam against Depner's acting, he's doing great work- we just want Viktor to meet the blunt end of a bus for betraying Petra.
Can Chico (Michel Duval) get over his vendetta against Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth) with the school under attack? The hatred between these two has been close to exploding since the first episode, and it's just a matter of time before they go at it. As much as we love to hate on Chico, Duval's phenomenal performance makes every second he's on screen electric.
Finally, will we see more of Jürgen Denke (Henry Rollins) in this episode? The Old Man Fight between Denke and Lin in "Snake Pit" was brutal to watch, but Rollins has been note-perfect in every scene, and his idealist crusade against Kings Dominion is going to be compelling as hell to watch.
From Sony Pictures Television and Universal Cable Productions, Deadly Class was adapted for television by original comic book series writer Rick Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, who will serve as executive producers alongside Joe Russo and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War), Mike Larocca (Spy) and Mick Betancourt (USA Network's The Purge, Shots Fired). Remender, Feldsott, and Betancourt will also share showrunner duties on the series.
