Epix Renews 'Get Shorty' Series for Third Season

Get Shorty is loosely based off of the 1990 Elmore Leonard novel of the same name, and follows the exploits of Miles Daly (Chris O'Dowd), a Nevada mob enforcer who tries to become a movie producer while visiting Los Angeles. Miles gets help from Rick Moreweather (Ray Romano), a producer who has seen better days. Season One sees Miles trying to make a break from his criminal past, while season two has Miles trying to balance his criminal past with his ambitions as a film-maker, and Rick gets involved in a Federal sting operation. In season three, Miles will be falling back on old tricks to get ahead in Hollywood.

"Chris O'Dowd and Ray Romano have so thoroughly embraced their roles, and I know I speak for all fans of Get Shorty when I say that we can't wait for their escapades to unfold in season three. The entire Epix team is looking forward to working again with Davey Holmes, Adam Arkin and the MGM Television team to continue Get Shorty's success."

-Epix President Michael Wright.

The cast of Get Shorty also features Sean Bridgers, Lidia Porto, Sarah Stiles, Carolyn Dodd, Goya Robles, Megan Stevenson, and Steven Weber. Get Shorty was developed for television by Davey Holmes (Shameless) and is produced by Holmes and Adam Arkin (The Americans, Sneaky Pete). The series is produced by MGM Television and internationally distributed by MGM.

Seasons one and two of Get Shorty are available via Epix On Demand, and you can catch season one in its entirety on Netflix.
