'Into the Badlands' S03, Ep15: "Requiem for the Fallen" Might Take a While (PREVIEW)
I just introduced my wife to Into the Badlands, and while she's clearly having a blast with it, I'm having to bite my tongue a lot when she comments on a character she likes.
"Don't get too used to that one", I want to say, but I won't, because people who spoil things for others are the worst sort of garbage.
So, I'm looking forward to the next episode of Into the Badlands, because "Requiem for the Fallen" feels like a really grim joke. There have been so many characters killed on this show that it feels like the writers are trying to keep up with The Walking Dead sometimes.
That being said, I would dearly love to see Sunny (Daniel Wu) and Bajie (Nick Frost) kung fu some zombies.
I also feel like "Requiem for the Fallen" is a little premature, since I'm sure the death count on the series is going to double by next week's series finale!
So, here's a recap: Sunny and Bajie are trying to make it back to the Badlands to help the Widow (Emily Beecham), Tilda (Ally Ioannides), and Gaius (Lewis Tan) fight off the hordes of Dark Ones that Pilgrim (Babou Ceesay) unleashed on them.
There was a massive battle at the gates to Sanctuary, with the Widow holding off Pilgrim just long enough to score a fleeting initial victory. The Dark Ones broke through the gates, but M.K. (Aramis Knight) was badly wounded, and Lydia (Orla Brady) was murdered by Cressida (Lorraine Toussaint) during the havoc of the invasion.
That leaves Nathaniel Moon (Sherman Augustus), once one of the most feared Clippers in the Badlands, without the one person helping him see a brighter future. I think a lot of Dark Ones are about to see Moon go kill crazy, and I can't wait!
It will also be interesting to see how M.K.'s story works out- he's very much the Anakin Skywalker of this story, so will he complete his fall to the dark side, or help Sunny liberate the Badlands?
There are only two episodes of Into the Badlands left, and a whole lot of story needs to get wrapped up before then! "Requiem for the Fallen" airs Monday, April 29th on AMC, here's a peak at the carnage:
