Killing Eve Season 3 Preview: Villanelle Has A Real Way With Words

To say that Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villanelle's (Jodie Comer) worlds received a shock to their respective systems in last week's episode of BBC America and AMC's Killing Eve would be to make a painful understatement. For Eve, it's Kenny's (Sean Delaney) death and the ruling of it as a suicide that breaks her out of her complacency. Except this isn't a mission she can go solo on, not after Kenny's Bitter Pill boss Jamie (Danny Sapani) trades access to Kenny's phone for Eve's help in getting to the truth behind his death. It sounds like the perfect time for Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) to come calling, especially when bereavement leave has her sidelined. Not content with using Kenny's death as a way of getting Eve back into the spy game, Carolyn plays the Villanelle card (and we know what a winning card that's proven to be in the past). Great move by Carolyn, but an even better move by Konstantin (Kim Bodnia), who heard everything. So with his counterpart having her "queen," Konstantin drops the "Eve's still alive" bomb on Villanelle. As you're about to see in the following preview images and clip, it's a revelation that our assassin still hasn't be able to find the words to express her feelings about. And the ones she does find? Well, you'll see:

In this week's episode, Villanelle heads back to London (uh-oh) while Eve and her team follow up on a lead that could bring them one step closer to The Twelve. The third season also stars Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), Camille Cottin (Call My Agent), Steve Pemberton (Inside No. 9), and Raj Bajaj (A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding). Turlough Convery (Ready Player One), Pedja Bjelac (Harry Potter franchise), and Evgenia Dodina (One Week and a Day) also star.

If you're new to the series then you might be wondering how things got to be where they are. Thankfully, the fine folks at BBC America have put together a look back at the first two seasons that gave each of our "wonder twins" a chance to vent some serious season-ending frustration out on one another (which has us wondering over who's going to be in the crosshairs at the end of this season). British writer Suzanne Heathcote (Fear the Walking Dead) serves as lead writer and executive producer for the third season, with Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Gina Mingacci, Damon Thomas, Jeff Melvoin, and Oh also serving as executive producers, and Nigel Watson serving as producer. Killing Eve is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd. for BBC America and distributed by Endeavor Content.
