Comic Book Sales Are Down From 2015 To 2016 – But Customer Count Is Up

14164073_10153990804706359_54853078_oAt the Baltimore Diamond Retail Summit, the distributor laid down some solid statistics. That showed for the comparative year so far, 2016 is down on 2015 overall by 2.2% although graphic novels sales are up by 2.4%. It's a reminded that the drop in sales of -2.6% for comics is still far more impactful to the direct market.

But it's not all doom and gloom. The amount of comic book stores is up 3.6%.

Of course, there are a lot of statistics to take account of this year.
