Ape Entertainment Licences Shrek and Penguins Of Madagascar Comics

shrekHidden beneath the fold of the Free Comic Book Day 2010 announcements was that Ape Entertainment has signed a deal to publish Dreamwork licensed Shrek and Penguins Of Madagascar comics based on the films and is using FCBD to debut stories with these characters as part of its child-focussed KiZoic imprint.

They join the likes of the Archaia Fraggle Rock and Boom! Muppets/Pixar/Disney titles in a new "boom" of media-licensed child targeted work around the industry.

And naturally they are represented in Free Comic Book Day as well. Here are the "Gold" titles that should be available in all participating stores next year including a potentially litigious book from Dark Horse!
