James Robinson Walks From DC Comics. Along The Beach.
A few days ago I was told that a DC A-list writer was leaving DC Comics and that the company were in a bit of a mad panic to replace them quickly. Inquiries brought no results and indeed while everyone seemed to know that something was happening, no one seemed to know quite what.
A few minutes ago, James Robinson tweeted;
So as of today I am leaving Earth 2 with Issue #16.It's been a blast.Man, it's a lovely day.Think I'll take Rex to the beach.

Reasons will come later. There have been rumours that Earth 2 would be expanded into multiple books, but nothing definite. Also… Earth 2 #16 would have been scheduled for September… but if the Villains' Month rumour is right, that would push it into October for Robinson's final issue.
As one DC creator just told me "That sound you hear is a dozen freelancers buying the full run of Earth 2 to bone up on it."
