Fundraising Efforts To Help Out The Flooded 2 Tone Comics

Bleeding Cool has run a couple of stories on 2 Tone Comics, the comic shop in Hebden Bridge near Leeds that was the subject of major flooding over Christmas.

Well, people are stepping up. A fundraising page has already had over £2500 in funds pledged by concerned citizens.

Tony and Mandy's independent comic book store in Hebden Bridge has been destroyed by the recent flooding in West Yorkshire. Despite their best efforts to save everything, their stock, fixtures and fittings have been lost and/or damaged beyond repair. The shop is not insured after theirs and other businesses have been refused insurance because of flood risk/previous damage.

And comic creator Rufus Dayglo is organising a comic book auction for additional funds and awareness.

This is also a call to publishers and distributors to help out a store with stock levels – it was unable to get flood insurance after a previous flood and so is incredibly vulnerable right now. Anything you can do to help them become a viable business again will be most welcome.
