Marvel Launches New "Secret" Variant Covers For Renew Your Vows And USAvengers #1

Basic RGBRecently, Marvel announced a 1:1000 variant cover for Venom #1, recycling some art by Todd McFarlane from Amazing Spider-Man #298, the character's first appearance. Currently going, in advance, for $1500 on eBay.

The U.S.Avengers #1 already has 53 variant covers, one per state, aligning a Marvel hero with every state in the USA, plus Canada and US principalities.

You might expect stores in specific states to go in heavy on their own variant.

But if a store orders one copy of all 53 state variant covers, they can order one copy of a Top Secret variant, the artist to be revealed at a later date. It's meant to be impressive.

On that note, Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 is also getting a Top Secret Artist Variant, available to each store that orders 1000 copies.

What a mystery!
