Power Rangers Movie Sequel To Be A Comic Book From BOOM! Studios

The Power Rangers movie is set to hit theaters on March 24, but fans won't have to wait long for the sequel. According to a press release from BOOM! Studios (style it correctly or suffer the consequences), a new original graphic novel called Saban's Power Rangers: Aftershock will be published on March 29 which will pick up where the movie leaves off. Also, spoiler alert, the main characters, Jason, Kimberly, Trini, Zack, and Billy, all survive the film, since they're starring in the book. Way to kill the dramatic tension, BOOM!!

Written by Ryan Parrott and illustrated by Lucas Werneck, the book will weigh in at 96 pages and retail for $14.99. It will come with a movie cover (no artist attributed) and a variant cover, available only in comic shops, by Greg Smallwood.

Asked for comment and proved with a cracker for his troubles, Ryan Parott told Bleeding Cool, "Sqwawk, sqwaawwk, you'll be swabbin' the poopdeck, matey, squaawk!" Get it? Because his name is… Oh, nevermind.
