When You Are Happily Reading Monsters Unleashed… And Then This Happens (Spoilers)

Everyone's a critic. In today's Uncanny Inhumans, Maximus has a question to ask about the current Inhumans Vs X-Men crossover.

Rude. I mean IVX hasn't been totally awful, even if they completely fumbled the ball with Cyclops. Still, I am sure the Inhumans have a better attitude to being in this story over in today's Extraordinary X-Men.

And they are even doubting the whole premise of the story, as the fact that the Terrigen mists are killing the mutants is raised.

Yeah, they tried the negotiation, they even had the Beast living with the Inhumans, it didn't work out, did it? It's back to the "blessed by terrigenesis" or "die a horrible, disfiguring death" choice again, isn't it?

Well, thankfully Marvel is also publishing Monsters Unleashed, a series set aside from current Marvel continuity concerns. no Civil War II, no Clone Conspiracies, no Inhumans Vs X-Men, just Monsters Vs Monsters and a kid who seems to be summoning the alien hordes… but how did he gain such an ability?

An Inhuman? Another frigging Inhuman? After everything everyone went through with Ulysses? Probably an unannounced member of the new Secret Warriors team? Oh c'mon.

I think I'm developing an intolerance towards Inhumans. I really should check myself.

Ah well. At least we got an indication that this Elsa Bloodstone…

…is still this Elsa Bloodstone.

Monsters Unleashed #3 is published today by Cullen Benn and Leinil Yu.
