I get the nod that Marvel Comics' Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #1 by Chip Zdarsky, Adam Kubert and Jordie Bellaire was June's most-ordered comic book by North American direct market comic book shops.

It may have been helped by having extra retailer discounts added if retailers upped those orders, as well as a number of variant cover, party promotions, exclusive retailer variant covers and being included in that month's Marvel Collector Corps subscription box.

While The Wicked and The Divine Volume 5 by Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, Kevin Wada, Matt Wilson and Clayton Cowles published by Image Comics, was the month's most-ordered graphic novel.

While overall, once again Marvel Comics was the month's most-ordered comic book publisher by direct market comic book stores. We look forward to breaking down the stats a little later today… but you can catch up with what happened in May right here… and here.
