Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Wraps Production
Another movie has wrapped production. This time it's filming for the monster-verse sequel Godilla: King of the Monsters that has wrapped. The movie is a sequel to the 2014 Godzilla reboot and is the third movie in the so-called "monster-verse" series that also has the movie Kong: Skull Island as part of its continuity.
This is a movie that's going to be have a very long post-production considering it's not due out until 2019. This is a monster movie so it would make sense that they would need plenty of special effects but this seems a little long. Perhaps they are planning for there to be a lot reshoots later on down the line? Maybe they just want the opportunity to take their time? There are a hundred different explanations but director Michael Dougherty must be grateful for the opportunity to take his time while editing his movie. Kong: Skull Island did well but wasn't a huge hit so studio Legendary Pictures needs a hit for this one to justify the series.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters, directed by Michael Dougherty, stars Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Kyle Chandler, and Thomas Middleditch. It will be released March 22nd, 2019.
