The Comic Book Creator Credits Of Thor: Ragnarok

Today, we are suddenly running a number of Thor: Ragnarok articles as the press embargo lifts. You can choose a low-spoilery review, these comic creator credits,  a mention of cameos and whether it is worth sitting through the credits.

The opening of Thor: Ragnarok credits three comic book creators, Marvel Comics then-publisher Stan Lee, his brother Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby for the characters that the movie is based around. But longstanding comic book fans will know that the two comics that the movie is mostly based on are the Ragnarok & Roll storyline in Thor by Walter Simonson, and the Planet Hulk storyline by Greg Pak and Carlo Pagulayan.

And while the film's credits at the end list all manner of comic book creators behind the creation of the many characters who appear in Thor Ragnarok, Walter, Greg and Carlo get a special mention above them all, specifically in recognition for the stories they told that prove so important to the makeup of this movie.

The Comic Book Creator Credits Of Thor: Ragnarok

Thor: Ragnarok, the sequel to Thor and Thor: The Dark World, will be released in the UK on October 24th and in the US on November 3rd. It was directed by Taika Waititi with a screenplay by Eric Pearson and the writing team of Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, and Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins.
