Grant Morrison on Green Lantern – DC Fresh Start?
Okay, so lots to write today, word leaking out of the recent Diamond Summit and C2E2 meet-ups that have slowly made their way out to Bleeding Cool. We're calling this the DC Fresh Start, though it seems a result of a number of initiatives happening at once.
And first up, is the news that Grant Morrison is the new writer on the new Green Lantern series.
Morrison has been a longstanding writer at DC Comics over the last thirty years, incredibly influential and critically acclaimed, working on comics such as Doom Patrol, Animal Man, Batman, Arkham Asylum, All-New Superman, Flex Mentallo, The Flash, Final Crisis, Multiversity, Seven Soldiers, The Invisibles and The Filth, and his JLA run saw him write Kyle Rayner, Green Lantern, extensively. He's also well known for his work on Skrull Kill Krew, New X-Men, and Happy – recently turned into a Syfy TV show. He is also, currently, editor-in-chief of Heavy Metal Magazine.
Currently, there are two twice-monthly books, Green Lanterns and Hal Jordan & The Green Lantern Corps.
But this would mean a whole new Green Lantern #1. With Hal Jordan? Maybe. Who knows? But we might get a rather cosmic multiversal comic book out of it as well.
We'll be running this tag through the day if anyone wants to check on any other of these articles.
