Doomsday Clock, Heroes in Crisis, and John Byrne – All in Action Comics #1002
This is the preview of Action Comics #1002 by Brian Michael Bendis and Patrick Gleason that ran on DC media partner site Syfy a couple of days ago. And it's the last page of which we are going to take far too seriously and pull jokes apart and treat them as important notes of canon. So be warned.
And it's that last page, complete with its recap page text forbidden previously by DC Comics but allowed for Bendis, that we are going to strip down for parts. Or Post-it-notes.
The return of Bat-mite to continuity?
That would be the upcoming Superman: Year One comic by Azzarello, Miller, and Romita…
A joke — or something tied into Doomsday Clock?
Definitely tied into Doomsday Clock, the first chronological mention of The Supermen Theory, though Bendis gets the plurality wrong… well, it something overheard. Though Clark should have better hearing.
John Byrne wrote and drew the original Man of Steel series before the 1986 Superman reboot so a fair bit.
DC Comics' Associate Editor.
All of Bendis's friends have Black Label comics, why not Bendis? Red Tornado: Year One could even be a Lois Lane book…
Supergirl and Krypto are off in space looking for Rogol Zaar. Not entirely fine.
We have a new Hall of Justice. Did someone give Jimmy access?
Being relaunched by Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp in The Green Lantern.
A first mention of upcoming Heroes in Crisis series with Batman and Wonder Woman.
What do you buy the man who detects everything?
Look for a Brian Michael Bendis Checkmate mention down the line…
