Bane, we presumed has been the figure who destroyed Batman's marriage, got Nightwing shot and amnesiac, lost the will of the courts to believe Batman and turned him into a figure of rage, taking away any respectibility that Batman had in Gotham with the authorities – oh and killed Penguin's penguin to push Batman into believing that Bane was the one pulling the strings…

Not Bane. Batman.

Thomas Wayne from the Flashpoint alternate reality, who saw his son Bruce Wayne shot in Crime Alley by the mugger Joe Chill, and became Batman – just as Martha Wayne became the Joker.
