Death Comes to the Nova Corps in Guardians Of The Galaxy #7 (Spoilers)
Tomorrow's Guardians Of The Galaxy #7 by Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw has been dubbed The Death of Rocket Raccoon. Well, spoilers, he doesn't die. Not in this issue anyway. But plenty of other people do. As Cates continues his dive into the Jim Starlinisation of the Marvel Universe. Bringing back the Universal Church Of Truth, just as it has been rewritten in the Thanos series…
And how the local church building is looking now, even as it is surrounded by the Nova Corps.
To no avail… as a message from Starlord's father rings out across the universe to the Guardians…
The entire Nova Corps, dead. This comes on the same day as the Official History Of The Marvel universe reminds us of the Nova Corps origins…
With the annotations to boot.
And Marvel Epilogue shows the first appearance of Nova, recreated from the seventies…
and reminds us that as the X-Men #98 is recreated for the comic, that the original issue had an ad for the upcoming Nova super-hero series., also reprinted in the back.
But now, all to no avail…
