Marvel Comics' "Ongoing" Series… Without a Volume Number?
Marvel Comics announced the new Black Panther And The Agents Of Wakanda as an ongoing series.
Written by Jim Zub with art by Lan Medina, the new ongoing series brings a squad first seen in the pages of Jason Aaron's AVENGERS (2018) into the spotlight—or, more appropriately, into the shadows.
EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HERO! ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES! After dying a grisly death in THE WAR OF THE REALMS, Loki learned a valuable lesson in warmongering: Don't get caught. But now he has a whole new set of responsibilities — and his brother Thor is not about to let him walk away from them this time. Late Show and BLACK PANTHER VS. DEADPOOL writer Daniel Kibblesmith takes the god of mischief in a thrilling new direction!
FUTURE FOUNDATION (and YONDU) Return With New Ongoing Title
But here's a thing. Their Amazon listings don't exactly underline it.
Future Foundation gets a listing for Future Foundation #1-5 – but without a Vol 1.
Loki gets a listing for Loki #1-5 and material from War Of The Omega #1. But no volume number.
And Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda gets a collection of Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda #1-5. And, again, volume-less.
While other launching series, such as Aero, their listing for Aero #1-4, does get a Vol 1. Same with Sword Master Vol 1. Same with Strikeforce #1 to 5. And for Black Cat #1-6. All listed with Vol 1.
But Future Foundation, Loki and Black Panther And The Agents Of Wakanda, all announced as ongoing series, don't get that luxury. Is Marvel hedging its bets? Maybe waiting to see how well the return of Rikki Barnes goes down?
