As seen in tomorrow's Absolute Power: Talk Force VII #3… so spoilers on… Jadestone is one of the Amazo androids recreated by Failsafe and Brainiac Queen for Amanda Waller. Hosting the consciousnesses of the Batmen back up personalities of Zur-En-Arrh from across the Multiverse, in bodies repaired by the Time Commander and souped up to be a crack squad of Batmen under Amanda Waller's control. And was used by the Bureau of Sovereignty to steal Green Lantern's powers back in the Absolute Power crossover in Green Lantern #13.
In that issue, the Jadestone Amazo ambushed Alan Scott, Green Lantern and the Justice Society, stole their powers and attacked the powerless heroes. Green Lantern restored the Starheart through sheer willpower and escaped with Hourman and Stargirl. But Jadestone still has the power, But he may have gained more than he's bargained for.
It looks like Jadestone, a back-up personality for a multiversal Batman, now has a back-up personality of his own. Or, at least, some kind of conscience. And is now questioning his own actions. Intiailly very simple, he seems of two minds…
But then offering full-blown different choices. This clearly is someone new for a tool of Amanda Waller.
Is there any chance that this realisation might be catching amongst the other Amazos? Might Amanda Waller losing control be down to a bunch of robots developing free will?
