And this is what they had to say
Decent sales week, though lower than expected with so many top tier books out. Batman rules the week but was one of only two DC books in the top ten. Action Comics barely made the list with a slight bump in sales from previous issues. No surprises this week for us. ASM, couple Star Wars books, A-Force, Civil War, Planet Hulk, Ms Marvel, Walking Dead. Bitch Planet just barely missed making the list and had there not been nearly a five month gap in issues I'm sure it would have.
New Saga trade!
Had a surge in parents and grandparents looking for kids books, specifically Marvel hero books for ages 8 and under. I struggle a bit with what to recommend as I don't have kids and don't read kids books. I usually go with the comics based on animated series or Tiny Titans. Any suggestions?
Shattered Empire sold better than the regular Star Wars series for us, bringing in lots of new faces and customers who don't usually grab the main Star Wars title. The force was definitely with Marvel, as SE was able to hold off both Batman and The Walking Dead.
Lots of people are looking for Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars Gwenpool variant. It's the latest hot ticket item for folks looking to make a quick turn around on eBay.
Journey Star Wars FASE Shattered Empire 1 was easily the top seller. Darth Vader 9 was a complete sell out on Wednesday. Including the variant cover. That is the fasted Darth Vader has ever sold. Thankfully it was available for reorder. Batman always a strong seller. Lots of high selling titles this week.
Aquaman, Deadpool, and Harley Quinn are still highly in demand back issue wise.
Another crazy week for new issues. Walking Dead takes the #1 spot with Harley Quinn Road trip taking the #2 spot. Marvel takes 3,4 and 6th spot as Vader, Civil War and a very surprising low projections in sales on Journey Star Wars. We thought this would match Vader sales book for book but only about 35% bought both. Dc sees Batman drop for the second straight month and Suicide Squad takes the 10th spot. Image comes in strong with the 1,7,8 and 9 spot as Outcast, Bitch Planet and Faster Than light make the list.
