Comic Folk On… Voting In Today's British General Election, Including The Exit Poll
The polls have just closed in Great Britain's General Election, In which everyone votes for a local MP, who then form a government. In principle, anyway. And with a legal reporting blackout on electoral matters today, as the doors to the polling station over the road close, we have the results of the Exit Poll too.
Yes, I voted. Walked the ten metres and back.

Looks like you were right, Sarah! The BBC predict a Conservative win, but not an overall majority….
Conservative 314
Labour 266
SNP 34
Lib Dem 14
Plaid 3
Green 1
UKIP 0
Other 18
Which rather defeats the point of Theresa May calling an election in the first place, as she would have lost her overall majority. To form a majority government, a party needs 326 MPs and the Conservatives can usually rely on the Northern Irish unionist parties to help out. But that wouldn't be enough.
Of course, polls can be wrong and it doesn't need a lot to swing it back the other way.
Will Theresa May remain as Prime Minister? Will Boris NJohnson step in? All sorts of things are up in play. And a better result for Jeremy Corbyn than Ed Miliband as Labour leader…
