Could This Be The Worst Timing – Or The Best – To Sell Rolf Harris Cartoons Of Jimmy Savile?
The British newspapers have pretty much only one story to report.
Which makes it an ever more intriguing time to sell these cartoons.
From 1992, a series of cartoons drawn by Rolf Harris of the late TV and radio star, and now known serial abuser and rapist Jimmy Savile, are part of a collection of Savile's possessions being auctioned off by Dreweatt Bloomsbury auctions. They are estimated to sell from £400 to £600.
Oddly, the auction is being carried out in Savile's Hall, part of the Royal Armoury in Leeds, which was renamed New Dock Hall back in 2012. But the auctioneers, it seems, have chosen to revive the old name for the auction.
And that's Saville as a hound… which goes for a little less.
