Dark Days: The Casting Tops July 2017 Sales Chart, But Marvel Wins The Marketshare
We'll get more details later, I'm sure, but Bleeding Cool has been reliably informed that Dark Days: The Casting #1 by Scott Snyder, James TynionIV, Andy Kubert, John Romita, Klaus Janson, Danny Miki, Jim Lee and Scott Williams published by DC Comics will be officially announced as the most-ordered comic book by North American direct market retailers in July 2017. The previous Dark Days: The Forge was beaten by the launch of Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man in June, but Dark Days: The Casting beat the launches of Astonishing X-Men, Spider-Men II and Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe Again.
But that Marvel Comics was the month's top publisher yet again, with the greatest amount of market share, a position they have consistently held for years – with occasional wobbles.
While the most-ordered trade paperback or graphic novel was Monstress Vol 2 by Marjorie M. Liu and Sana Takeda from Image Comics.
A quick reminder…
