DC to Advertise Superman and Batman Comics Before 40th Anniversary Screenings of Superman: The Movie
The cry often goes out when the big movies hit the cinema screens, why the comics publishers don't advertise the comics they are based on in the ads that run before the film.
The answer? Because that is valuable retail space and the cinemas and studios need big money from people who can afford it.
But it looks like DC Comics has found a small budget for the upcoming screenings by Fathom for the 40th Anniversary of the Superman movie over three days, November 25th, 27th and December 3rd 2018.
And before those, DC Comics will be advertising Sean Murphy's Batman: White Knight, Brian Azzarello, Andy Kubert and Frank Miller's Dark Knight III: The Master Race, and Brian Bendis' runs on Action Comics and Superman.
Fathom Events and Warner Bros. are bringing Superman the Movie 40th Anniversary to select cinemas nationwide for a special three-day event on November 25, 27 and December 3! This exciting event includes the 1941 Max Fleischer Superman animated short "The Mechanical Monsters"! From the doomed planet of Krypton, two parents launch a spaceship carrying their infant son to earth. Here he grows up to become Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman. For tickets, visit FathomEvents.com!
