Drawing Ducks On The Walking Dead #1
Kevin Smith famously sold his comic book collection and maxed out his credit cards to make the film Clerks. It made his career.
Well, one fellow is hoping to do the same for his documentary-about-a-Facebook page…
That's the one. And to do so, he is selling his prized possession. The Walking Dead #1. Currently listed on eBay for $15,000 Australian dollars, a little over $12,000 US dollars. And with ane xecutive producer credit to the film thrown in…
Sadly he has not drawn anything, ducks or otherwise, on his comic book cover, rendering it worthless. Or worth even more. I can't quite decide.
I don't particularly want to sell this comic. It's one of the gems in my collection. But right now, I'm producing a documentary and I need completion funds. The documentary is about the most controversial Facebook page in history — Drawing Dicks On The Herald Sun. Ebay doesn't allow links but if you go to Vimeo and type that into the search bar, two trailers will come up. The trailers are definitely not for everyone (certainly not for children and NSFW) but I am taking the film and its artistic subject very, very seriously. The promo trailers will back up just how professional the film will look. You're probably wondering what the 'executive producer' credit is all about. If you decide you want this comic in your collection (and who wouldn't) the $15,000 AUS price tag will not only get you the most valuable and desired comic book of the modern era, but your name will also feature in the opening credits of the film as an executive producer. (Credit is in name only but will also feature on IMDB.)
The TV series has not slowed down in popularity. Ratings grow stronger and stronger with each new season and its starting to out rate sporting events. The WALKING DEAD #1 continues to be one of the best investments in comic books. With a print run of just under 7,300 copies in total, it's no question this comic will continue to be desirable. They're not making any more of them…
Before you ask, no, I won't lower the price of the comic and remove the executive producer credit. If you like the trailers and think you'd like to have your name on the completed film (it will be a feature length documentary) you can buy with confidence knowing the comic will be shipped to you with the utmost of care that Comic Book Hell has become known for. Our feedback speaks for itself. Shipping will be free to anywhere in the world, shipped via express post and fully registered.
