Empathizing With The Scorpion in Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 [Preview]

Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 is in stores in just a few days from Marvel Comics, spinning out of the Absolute Carnage super-mega-crossover event, from the creative team of Saladin Ahmed and Federico Vicentini. We open with Miles and his pal Ganke, admiring the freshest new pair of kicks (kids still say "fresh" and "kicks," right?). Unfortunately, they're a little bit pricey for someone on a Spider-salary…

But The Scorpion arrives to make money rain from the sky! Score!

Unfortunately, Miles is too moral to take advantage of this situation, deciding to look a gift scorpion in the mouth instead, running off to change into his Spider-gear.

And interrupting the Scorpion's attempt at winning the Democratic primary through redistribution of wealth. Though Miles does seem to empathize with the Scorpion's desire here, even if he disagrees with his methods.

Scorpion, needless to say, is not happy to see Miles.

Will Spider-Man die? Probably not, but just in case, you'll want to pick up Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 when it hit stores on Wednesday. If he does die in the book, you can sell it to speculators and finally afford to buy those sneakers you always wanted.
