Francis Manapul Walks Off Detective Comics For Something New

Bleeding Cool has long championed the work of Francis Manapul at DC Comics, as he created many an innovative approach to comic book storytelling, especially on The Flash. We have also enjoyed his work on Detective Comics, and wrote about it earlier today.

But it will be a short lived stay. He writes on Twitter.

Today is also the beginning of something new. I handed in the covers for one of my new projects. (Should be in the next Previews)

A couple months ago I made the hard decision to walk away from Detective Comics in order to pursue these new projects.

The next arc of Tec will also be written by a dear friend of mine and I genuinely can't wait! (In fact he just gave me the script! :)

I have some BIG projects over the next couple years. I'll be reuniting with an old friend, a creator owned book as well as an OGN.
