From One Side of Thought Bubble Comic Con to Another – Harrogate 2019
I'm currently sitting at the front of the main panel room waiting for the Donny Cates panel to begin at Thought Bubble 2019, in Harrogate. I managed to miss this palatial panel room on the video that runs below… your regular, familiar, from one side of the show to the other, in our patent-pending shaky, blurry, familiar video format. Along the way you'll find me chatting to Frazer Irving, Kieron Gillen, Gary Erskine and more… as the new look Thought Bubble reveals itself in front of our eyes…
The line outside the show began at three in the morning, I discovered, as people queued for the Mondo and Vice prints, but when I arrived it was sneaking around and around the block. There were some fears from vendors that this might not attract the passing-by crowd in Leeds, but I talked to the organisers who told me they'd advertised heavily in other Northern cities Manchester and York, which have greater access to Harrogate than if it were just in Leeds, and that's noticeable in the accents around me.
