Gail Simone and Adriana Melo Give You… Plastic Harley Quinn

It's not often that you come across a comic book that seems to be about an article you write a couple of years ago. But it does happen very occasionally… such as reading Plastic Man this week. With Plastic Man briefly rebooting himself as Harley Quinn. And parodying both the publisher propensity to create and exploit the popularity of such characters — but also fan response to just that.

And so we have a Plastic Harley Quinn, somewhat similar to the Harley Quinn portrayed by Margot Robbie, though retaining more of the original colour scheme and diamond logos. And then going full on movie Harley — and animated Harley by switching back and forth…

Not entirely unlike the Bleeding Cool video that contrasted how Harley Quinn was portrayed in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer — as opposed to the one that went out for the general public:

She's right, it was huge at comic cons… Now can we get Plastic Man to tackle who really killed the Kryptonians? Or are there more pressing needs?
