Gold Lantern Gives Legion Of Super-Heroes a 2nd Print and 1:25 Cover
We mentioned that Legion of Super-Heroes #6 was booming on eBay over the appearance of Gold Lantern (even if his first actual appearance was in Legion Of Super-Heroes: Millenium #2) (oh and it didn't have a new Doctor Fate as the solicitation promised) (no more brackets, I promise).
Well, DC Comics certainly noticed and are putting out a second printing and giving Legion of Super-Heroes #7 a new 1:25 cover featuring the design of thc characters (as seen below… oh damn, sorry) in the manner of the recent Joker War design variant covers.
Gold Lantern – the 31st century's exciting addition to the Green Lantern mythos – made his anticipated debut in this week's sold-out Legion of Super-Heroes #6 by Brian Michael Bendis and Ryan Sook – and DC is rushing back to press for a second printing!
Gold Lantern has been promised since the start of Bendis and Sook's run on Legion of Super-Heroes, and made a brief but impactful arrival in #6, with much more of this new character to come in subsequent issues.
To cement his status as the future's newest galactic hero, Gold Lantern will be featured in a 1:25 variant cover for #7, highlighting the design work of series artist Ryan Sook. The #7 1:25 variant is a card stock cover with a cover price of $4.99.
Legion of Super-Heroes #6 Second Printing is on Final Order Cut-off on Monday, June 15, and on sale on July 7. It will arrive in stores with a recolored version of its original cover by Sook.
To qualify for the Legion of Super-Heroes #7 1:25 variant cover, retailers must order 25 combined copies of the main cover and open-to-order variant at FOC. #7 is on FOC on July 6, and on sale July 28.
Although that variant cover has yet to be added to the Lunar and UCS FOC lit for that week – someone at DC might want to get on that shortly. You see, I could have put that in brackets but I didn't.
