Hawkeye Learns the Truth About the Criminal Justice System in Hawkeye: Freefall #1 [Preview]
Hawkeye: Freefall #1 launches at Marvel next week, from Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt, and we've got a preview below.
In which we find the titular Hawkeye taking down "The Great One" Brian Bendis's favorite villain, The Hood. A shot across the bow at the DC Comics writer?
Hawkeye sends the hood off to jail…
…but when he arrives to see his trial, all he finds is a corrupt criminal justice system that punishes the poor…
…and rewards the rich.
So it's no surprise that Ronin, wearing Hawkeye's old outfit (hopefully he watched it) is looking to deliver justice in a more direct fashion.
Hawkeye: Freefall #1 hits stores on Wednesday, January 1st.

When a mysterious and ruthless new Ronin starts tearing a destructive path through the city, suspicion immediately falls on Hawkeye, but Clint has more to worry about than who's wearing his old costume. After a clash with the Hood ends badly, Hawkeye gives himself a new mission that will place him in the crosshairs of one of New York's most dangerous villains. Hawkeye's mission and Ronin's secret plans will set them on a collision course that only one of them will walk away from. Fan favorite Clint Barton returns in a brand new series from Matthew Rosenberg (UNCANNY X-MEN, THE PUNISHER) and Otto Schmidt (Green Arrow).
