More Image Expo Announcements from Todd McFarlane, Gerry Duggan, John McCrea, Chris Sebela, Jody LeHeup, Brian Haberlin, Farel Dalrymple, and Rob Guillory
Comic creators making stage appearances at Image Expo in Portland, Oregon next week on Wednesday, February 21st to announce their new projects for the Portland-based comics publisher include:
Todd McFarlane, Image Comics founder and creator of Spawn, currently in development as a movie.
Gerry Duggan, writer and producer whose recent comics include Deadpool, Guardians of the Galaxy, Uncanny Avengers, and Chewbacca. and nominated for an Eisner for Infinite Horizon from Image.
John McCrea, comic book creator on comics including Spider-Man, Dicks, and Mythic.
Chris Sebela, co-creator of books such as Heartthrob, High Crimes, We(l)come Back, Dead Letters, and Short Order Crooks, as well as having written books including Blue Beetle, Kiss/Vampirella, Detective Comics, Escape From New York, Captain Marvel, Injustice: Ground Zero, and Demonic.
Jody LeHeup, co-writer and co-creator of Shirtless Bear Fighter. A former editor, Jody worked on series including Uncanny X-Force, Deadpool, and Strange Tales for Marvel Comics as well as Quantum and Woody for Valiant Comics.
Brian Haberlin, co-creator of Witchblade, he also created and co-created Aria, Stone, Area 52, Hellcop, Anomaly, Shifter, and more. He teaches art at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and through his Digital Art Tutorials, which are available through Image Comics.
Farel Dalrymple is the author of comics including The Wrenchies, It Will All Hurt, and Delusional, a co-founder and contributor to the comic anthology, Meathaus, and the artist on Palefire, Prophet and Omega the Unknown.
Rob Guillory is the artist and co-creator of Chew.
They will join previously announce creators debuting work including Robert Kirkman, Rick Remender, Tee Franklin, and Nick Pitarra.
And, on past form, plenty of other attendees too… they usually announce around twenty projects at these shindigs. And then there are all the sales, exclusives, signings, and panels.
Tickets to the event are now available for sale. Image Comics has General Admission tickets available for $25. Premium Admission tickets are available for $100 — until Wednesday.
