Joe R Lansdale Mashes Up Huckleberry Finn and Lovecraft for IDWClassics Mutilated is an anthology prose title from IDW that's more than a little Pride & Prejudice & Zombies inspired.

Fifteen horror authors are mashing up out-of-copyright classics with the gory B-movies. Including  Joe Lansdale's The Dread Island, pitting Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn against Cthulhu. and Uncle Remus.

While the full volume  including stories from Nancy Collins, John Shirley, Thomas Tessier, Kristine Katheryn Rusch, Chris Ryall, Rick Hautala, John Skipp and Cody Goodfellow will be published in October, IDW will have a paperback 500 copy limited edition version of The Dread Island available at San Diego ($15)

Copies of the 400 copy signed hardcover ($35)  and 100 copy signed leatherbound version ($100) will be available directly from the IDW website after the show. And a version will also be made available to retailers alongside the Classics Mutilated collection. ($16.99)
