John Siuntres runs the Word Balloon Podcast, priding itself on one on one conversations with industry professionals.

Word Balloon is currently gearing up for San Diego Comic-Con and will be holding the following panel:

Saturday, July 11 • 12:00pm – 1:00pm

The 10th Annual All-Star Comic Book Podcaster Panel

Get ready for a no holds barred debate and discussion of the current state of the comic book marketplace in publishing, television, and film. Like sports reporters at the World Series, these podcast hosts voice their opinions on their shows. But what happens when they face each other and may not get the last word on a subject? Featuring John Siuntres (Word Balloon), Calvin Reid (Publisher's Weekly-More to Come), Mark Bernardin (Playboy.com-Fatman on Batman), John Mayo (Comic Book Page), and Jimmy Aquino (Comic News Insider).

But before we head to SDCC, John Siuntres talked to me, Hannah Means-Shannon, as EIC of Bleeding Cool, about our origins and how we operate as a website. We also talked about my background as an English Professor and how I got into comics blogging, as well as the horror and joys of attending my first San Diego Comic-Con, an experience which shaped my future.

I'd be remiss if I didn't steer Bleeding Cool readers in the direction of this podcast, since there's an unprecedented peek behind the curtain here on how we make decisions about what we publish here on Bleeding Cool as well as the debunking of many myths about BC. You've been warned!

This podcast also features comics great Tony Moore talking about CincyCon.
