Changing Logos of Harry Potter in Young Justice #1 – and What Those 7 Crises Mean to Gemworld
Today sees the publication of Brian Bendis' first Wonder Comics title, Young Justice #1, with Patrick Gleason.
You may have had a heads up about a mention of the Earth having undergone seven crises and how that affected the Gemworld, currently invading the Earth in Superman's absence. But also dragging in a bunch of other types, such as Impulse and the Conner Kent Superboy from bygone continuities. And labelling the number of times the Earth has undergone a Crisis-type event as seven.
We're going with Crisis On Infinite Earths, Zero Hour, Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Flashpoint/New 52, Convergence and Metal unless there are any other challengers. But we also reported the breaking down of walls regarding other Warner Bros continuities, namely the use of the Harry Potter logo in a comic which uses logos like punctuation.
But on picking up the comic today I discover… shock horror, while Harry Potter is mentioned – that is most definitely not the Harry Potter logo we promised.
Were our sources wrong? Could Bleeding Cool have got a story, shock horror, wrong? Possibly. it has been known to happen before. Maybe when we said that Titans would drop all at once on the DC App Netflix style (though that will happen in the rest of the world). So I checked in with my source.
And it seems this was the original pre-colour version sent to retailers.
It looks like, as we suggested, someone at Warners will have had a meeting with DC Comics. But it looks as if it didn't go the direction we presumed it had…
YOUNG JUSTICE #1
(W) Brian Michael Bendis (A/CA) Patrick Gleason

Superboy! This mix of fan favorites and new legacy heroes will be the center point for some of the biggest goings-on at DC! As if that weren't enough, Bendis reunites with all-star artist Patrick Gleason (SUPERMAN, ACTION COMICS, GREEN LANTERN CORPS) to bring the new heroes of DC's Wonder Comics to life!
