Mark Millar's Christmas Surprise Revealed (Spoilers)

Back in September, Mark Millar teased a surprise project for the week before Christmas. Little did he know at the time that this week would be the biggest week in comics in 2019, in terms of big projects landing in comic stores. And despite all the fuss, it is in danger of being overshadowed, no matter how many guitar licks you add to the promo video.

Teased as 'The sequel to one of my most beloved Millarworld projects since the dawn of time' that would imply a Millarworld title without a published sequel. Which, to date, would be: Unfunnies, MPH, Nemesis, Chosen, Empress, Reborn, Huck, Sharkey the Bounty Hunter, Prodigy, Space Bandits,  Starlight, Superior, The Magic Order, Super Crooks – as well as the unfinished War Heroes and unpublished Run.

Three issues have been solicited below and the comic appears in stores tomorrow. Now Bleeding Cool knows what the comic book is, but we'll keep this going for a paragraph or four more, so you can preserve the surprise if you wish.

The Biggest, Baddest Spoilers for The Walking Dead #192

Well, it shouldn't be a surprise that it's a Netflix show that is already filming. And on which the artist is already working on the sequel.

American Jesus by Mark Millar and Peter Gross was originally published as Chosen by Dark Horse Comics, befoe it was republished by Image Comics with the new title, and a self-censored ending. Telling the story about a young boy who comes to believe that he is the new Messiah, as his future is laid out ahead of him, it was one of the first wave of Millarworld books along with Wanted, Unfunnies and a series of Image one-shots that were never published.
