Marvel Comics Replaces Gerard Jones' Hulk 2099 #1 With Avengers #684 Reprint

Bleeding Cool reported that Marvel Comics had scheduled a reprint of 2099 Unlimited #1 as Hulk 2099 #1, part of the many Hulk-themed True Believers $1 reprints for September. We also pointed out that the comic was written by Gerard Jones, currently serving time on charges related to the possession and distribution of child pornography, who has seen a number of reprints from various publishers cancelled, both print and digitally.

Within hours, the listing on Marvel and Diamond's site had been pulled.

Now in its place is True Believers: Hulk Returns #1, reprinting Avengers #684, the comic that laid the groundwork for the current Immortal Hulk series by Al Ewing and Joe Bennett.
